A ‘five capitals’ framework is used to illustrate the broad impacts of technologies on people and the environment. This framework includes; natural, human, social, manufactured, and financial capital and the paper argues that the greatest public good will be achieved by maximising these five capitals, taken together.
Each of the investment options covered by the London Accord is analysed using this framework highlighting the sustainability issues that investors should be aware off.
